Composite Fillings

If you have decay or dark fillings, you may be a good candidate for tooth-colored, composite resin fillings. They can restore teeth to an attractive, healthy state, while offering several advantages over traditional amalgam fillings. Because composite resins are not made of metal, we can blend and mix shades to find the perfect color to match your natural teeth. Another pro is the strength of the bond between your tooth and the composite material. This actually supports the remaining tooth structure, deters breakage, and insulates against temperature changes. Best of all, composite resins allow us to keep more of your natural tooth structure intact.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are used to repair teeth with severe dental damage or decay too extensive for correction with a filling. Patients in need of a dental crown should expect at least two appointments. During the initial visit, damaged tooth is removed in preparation to receive the crown, and an impression of your tooth is taken. Before you leave, a temporary crown is placed to protect the prepared tooth until the custom restoration is completed. During the second appointment, the temporary crown is replaced with the permanent, custom restoration.
